Our Vision is to advance knowledge and integration of physical activity into health, education, sport and recreation, urban planning and transport practice and policies across all levels of government and non-government organisations in the Asia-Pacific region in order to benefit the health and wellbeing of all communities in the region.
The mission of the Society is to provide a forum for researchers, practitioners and policy makers to advocate, network, build capacity, and share expertise and experiences and hear about the latest research and practice in physical activity in the Asia-Pacific region.
The goals of ASPA include:
- To provide a forum for researchers, practitioners and policy makers to network, share and hear about the latest research and practice in physical activity in the Asia-Pacific region
- To build capacity in physical activity
- To advance physical activity research and knowledge dissemination and implementation into policy and practice
- To play an advocacy role to ensure physical activity is appropriately incorporated into health, education, urban planning and transport policies at all levels of government
