Our Vision is to advance knowledge and integration of physical activity into health, education, urban planning and transport practice and policies across all levels of government and non-government organisations in the Australasian region in order to

benefit the health and wellbeing of all communities across Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia.

The mission of the Society is to provide a forum for researchers, practitioners and policy makers to advocate, network, build capacity, and share expertise and experiences and hear about the latest research and practice in physical activity in Australasia.

The goals of ASPA include:

  • To provide a forum for researchers, practitioners and policy makers to network, share and hear about the latest research and practice in physical activity in Australasia
  • To build capacity in physical activity
  • To advance physical activity research and knowledge dissemination and implementation into policy and practice
  • To play an advocacy role to ensure physical activity is appropriately incorporated into health, education, urban planning and transport policies at all levels of government

 

Become a Member

Membership is open to any individual member of the public (aged 18 years and over) interested in the science and practice of physical activity. There is no professional qualification required for membership.
