Dr. Yanping Duan is an Assistant Professor of the Department of Sport, Physical Education and Health, Hong Kong Baptist University, Hong Kong. Dr. Duan is the member of ASPA Executive Committee and the Chair of Asia Committee of ASPA. Dr. Duan has diverse research interests in the areas of health behaviour promotion and sport psychology. Her main research area focuses on the environmental, psycho-social and socio-cultural factors of physical activity, physical activity behaviour changes process and its underlying psychosocial mechanism. Dr. Duan has published more than 50 peer-reviewed publications which cover diverse samples (e.g., university students and staff, office-based employees, older adults, cardiac rehabilitation patients) applying various approaches including observation, interview, questionnaire survey, onsite-, web- and app-based interventions. Currently Dr. Duan is the Associate Editor of Health Psychology Section in Frontiers in Psychology and the Asian Editor of the American Journal of Health Behaviour.
