ASPA 2023 Call for Abstracts

The Asia-Pacific Society for Physical Activity (ASPA) is pleased to announce that we are now accepting abstract submissions for oral presentations and posters related to physical activity research, policy, and practice for our third annual conference.

This year’s in-person conference will be held on the 27th and 28th November, in Wellington, New Zealand. We are excited to be hosting ASPA 2023 alongside the Sport and Exercise Science New Zealand annual conference, which will be held at the same venue on the 28th and 29th of November 2023. For more information about the Conference, visit https://aspactivity.org/conference/aspa-2023-conference/

We invite students, researchers, practitioners, and policy makers to showcase their work by submitting abstracts related to physical activity research, policy, and practice. Our aim is to bring together a diverse range of presenters and attendees to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and collaborate on initiatives that advance physical activity promotion across the Asia-Pacific region.

Abstract submissions can be made in two formats, either as scientific or research abstracts or as advocacy, policy, or practice abstracts. This approach allows us to provide a platform for sharing the latest research findings, as well as for discussing and showcasing practical solutions and policy innovations.

You can also select your preference for either an oral presentation or poster. Accepted oral presentations will be allocated to a topical session in the conference program, with time for Q&A. Accepted posters will be showcased on poster boards, and you will have the opportunity to engage with attendees and showcase your work during the dedicated poster session.

Please note that all delegates with accepted abstracts will need to register for the conference and be present in person to give their presentation.

All accepted abstracts will be published in the digital conference abstract book.

Please submit your abstracts online by 30 June 2023. We look forward to receiving your submissions and to welcoming you to Wellington, New Zealand, for what promises to be an exciting and engaging event.
