ASPA 2024 – Healthy Streets Bike Bus – Workshop
Bicycle tour of inner Perth and an introduction to the Healthy Streets approach, hosted by WestCycle and Bicycles for Humanity WA
Join us for a bike tour around inner Perth streets, with a stop for coffee (free coffee included in ticket price).
En route, WestCycle and partners will provide an introduction to the Healthy Streets approach and tools (qualitative and quantitative) – and explore the street through the 10 Healthy Streets Indicators Wheel pictured below.
Please note:
- The bicycle ride is NOT expected to be strenuous; we will be cycling gently along quiet streets. It’s a short and mostly flat ride. Ideally you will feel confident riding on quiet, local streets and crossing one of two busy roads
- Please wear whatever you feel comfortable in, for example, conference clothing will be appropriate so you can go straight into the conference after the workshop.
- If you have your own bike, please feel free to bring it and use it.
- All bike riders will be expected to follow WA Laws, including the mandatory wearing of a helmet.
- If you don’t have a bike, don’t worry, we will have bikes and helmets.
We want to thank Bicycles for Humanity WA for supplying the bicycles for this workshop and WestCycle for leading the bike tour of inner Perth streets.
