ASPA Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are a great way to connect with researchers and practitioners interested in specific areas of physical activity research and practice.

Each of our SIGs aim to:

  • Provide a platform to discuss, disseminate evidence, and promote networking and collaboration on specific physical activity issues;
  • Support the development of postgraduate students and emerging researchers/practitioners by facilitating Student/Early Career Researcher (ECR)/Early Career Practioner (ECP) networking and mentoring;
  • Enhance communication and collaboration between academics and practitioners with related areas of interest;
  • Support the dissemination and translation of research and evidence into practice and policy;
  • Support the promotion and uptake of practice-driven evidence generation;
  • To publicly advocate for positive societal impact via social media and position statements;
  • Offer professional support through relevant webinars and workshops.
