To facilitate the research exchange in physical activity among scholars at early career stage from Asia and Pacific region, the ASPA Asia x Early Career Network Committees are co-facilitating a seminar titled โEarly Careersโ Research Showcase 2025: Physical Activity in Asia Pacific Regionโ on June 27, 2025, via ZOOM. Professor Dorothea DUMUID from the University of South Australia, Australia, and Professor Claudio R. NIGG from the University of Bern, Switzerland, will give keynote speeches. Eight young scholars at the early careers from eight countries and regions in Asia and Pacific regions will provide presentations in the morning (09:30-12:00, HKT) and afternoon (14:30-17:00, HKT) sessions.
For the Morning Session, a keynote speaker, Professor Dorothea DUMUID will give a speech titled โWhat Have We Learnt About Physical Activity From Compositional Data Analysis?โ. In addition, four young scholars: Mr. Tomoki MANABE from Keio University, Japan, Dr. Mengyun LUO from University of Sydney, Australia, Dr. Mihi Joy NEMANI from University of Waikato, New Zealand, and Dr. Waris WONGPIPIT from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, will report their research.
For the Afternoon Session, a keynote speaker, Professor Claudio R. NIGG will give a speech titled โA Research Program Promoting Physical Activity In Different Cultures: Lessons learnedโ. In addition, four young scholars: Ms. Ankhmaa BYAMBAA from University of Wollongong, Australia and National Centre for Public Health of Mongolia, Mongolia, Dr. Yan LIANG from East China Normal University, China, Dr. Min-Seong HA from University of Seoul, Republic of Korea, and Dr. Huiqi SONG from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, will report their research.
