To facilitate the research exchange in physical activity among scholars at early career stage from Asia and Pacific region, the Asia Committee and the Early Career Network of ASPA are hosting their 2nd annual “Early Careers’ Research Showcase 2023: Physical Activity in Asia Pacific Region”. Prof. David Dunstan from the Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute and Deakin University, Australia, and Prof. Sonia Lippke from Constructor University Bremen, Germany, will give keynote presentations. Eight young scholars in their early careers from eight countries and regions in the Asia and Pacific will provide presentations in the morning (09:30-12:00, HKT) and afternoon (14:30-17:00, HKT) sessions.
Keynote speaker Prof. David Dunstan will present in the morning session on “Reducing sedentary behaviour in adults: emerging insights and future opportunities”. In addition, four young scholars: Dr. Huaxuan Liu from Fujian Normal University, China, Dr. Yuta Nemoto from Tokyo Medical University, Japan, Ms. Chahana Paudel from Deakin University, Australia and Dr Yuchen Shi from The Education University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong will report their research.
Keynote speaker Prof. Sonia Lippke will present in the afternoon session on “Physical activity and health promotion in the face of post- and long-COVID symptoms”. In addition, four young scholars: Ms. Shenglin Zheng from National University of Singapore, Singapore, Dr. Adam Abdul Malik from Universiti Sains Malaysia, Malaysia, Ms. Mihi Nemani from Manukau Institute of Technology and University of Waikato, New Zealand and Dr. Feng-Tzu Chen from China Medical University, Taiwan will report their research.
